My brain tumor journey began in early 2009, and had what we now know as a seizure due to a brain tumor. Proton radiation is very specifically shaped, so that only the portion of the tissue that needs radiation will be radiated. It protected the left side of my brain, and also the deep brain portions that regulate some of the big things like sleep and mood.
