Cancer PALS: Patients are Loved & Supported
Cancer treatment impacts more than your health—it can create real, everyday challenges like getting to appointments, covering groceries or gas, and managing responsibilities at home.
To help ease that burden, Oklahoma Proton Center has partnered with The WiTT Group, Inc. to offer Cancer PALS (Patients are Loved and Supported)—an online support registry designed to connect patients with the people who want to help.
This free platform allows patients to request support for daily needs such as transportation, meals, gas, temporary housing, and co-pays. It also makes it easy to ask for help with non-financial needs like childcare, pet care, rides to treatment, and other day-to-day responsibilities—so patients can focus more on healing and less on logistics.

A Simple Way to Ask for Support During Treatment
When you are going through cancer treatment, even small daily needs can feel overwhelming.
Cancer PALS is a support platform designed to help patients create a personalized support registry. Through the platform, patients can share practical needs that may arise during treatment, and the people who care about them can respond in meaningful ways.
Patients can add needs such as:
- Groceries and meal support
- Gas and transportation to and from treatment
- Housing or lodging-related expenses
- Childcare or family support
- Pet care
- Everyday household needs
- Co-pays and other non-clinical costs

How Does Cancer PALS Work?
The Support Registry is designed for patients, but built for everyone who wants to help.
Patients
Patients can create a personalized registry—similar to other online registries—listing both financial and non-financial needs. This gives loved ones clear visibility into how they can provide meaningful support during treatment.
Family, Friends, and Colleagues
Caregivers and loved ones can join a private support circle, removing the uncertainty of “how can I help?” and replacing it with clear, flexible options to show up in ways that matter.
Community & Anonymous Support
Patients may choose to make their registry public, allowing others in the community to contribute. Each patient is verified, ensuring transparency and giving donors confidence that their support is reaching someone in need.
Healthcare Providers & Community Organizations
Providers and nonprofit organizations can also refer patients who may benefit from additional support through the registry.
Also, non-profits like Proton Pals Foundation and providers can identify and refer patients that they believe can benefit from the Cancer PALS Support Registry.
Cancer PALS is about making support easier, more organized, and more accessible during a time when patients and families already have enough to carry.

Getting started is simple
Step 1: Create your Account

Step 2: Build Your Support Registry
Patients can create a list of what they need support with that would make daily life easier during treatment.
Step 3: Share with Your Support Network
Invite family, friends, coworkers, and community members who want to help.
Step 4: Receive Meaningful Support
Supporters can respond to the needs you have shared with time or financial support, helping reduce the everyday burdens that can come with cancer care.
Why Support Matters During Cancer Treatment
Cancer care often affects far more than appointments and clinical treatment. It can interrupt routines, strain finances, create transportation challenges, and increase stress for both patients and caregivers.
Cancer PALS was created to help reduce those burdens by giving patients a practical tool for receiving support with dignity. When daily needs are easier to manage, patients can spend more time focusing on what matters most: their health, their family, and their healing.

You Don’t Have to Navigate Cancer Alone
Cancer treatment can be overwhelming. Asking for help shouldn’t be. Cancer PALS provides a simple way for patients to connect with the people who want to support them.
